Who we are

This site is operated by Melanie Avalon, Inc., owner of AvalonX. This policy explains how we and the third parties who help us run AvalonX collect, use, and protect your information.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, contact details, shipping address and order contents. Payment card details are handled entirely by Shopify and never reach our servers. When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address. When you use our contact form we store the name, email and message you submit so we can reply. If you join our rewards program or a subscription plan, MD Logic Health collects the account information needed to run those programs.

How we use it

To fulfill and support your orders, to answer your inquiries, and, only if you subscribed, to send you our newsletter. We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared with our processors only as necessary to provide the applicable service.

Who processes it

Shopify processes checkout and payment for your order.

MD Logic Health processes fulfillment, subscriptions, rewards, shipping, and applicable customer-account functions. Mailchimp processes newsletter subscriptions. When you submit the newsletter form on this site, your email address is added to our AvalonX audience in Mailchimp with a subscribed status, and Mailchimp sends our emails on our behalf. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Contact and press inquiries are used only to answer you. The name, email and message you submit are stored in our own backend database and, where email delivery is enabled, forwarded to contact@avalonx.us. They are not added to any marketing list unless you separately subscribe.

Cloudflare Turnstile runs a bot check when you submit the newsletter, contact or press form. Cloudflare receives the technical information needed to score that challenge. Turnstile does not run until you submit a form.

Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site, so your browser requests those font files from Google when a page loads.

Cookies and similar technologies

The AvalonX site itself does not set marketing or advertising cookies, and it does not store personal information in your browser's local storage. On pages that show a purchase panel, the Shopify Buy Button places Shopify's own first-party cookies (currently _shopify_y, _shopify_s, _y and _s) to keep your cart and session working. Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie as part of the Turnstile check when you submit a form. Once you continue to Shopify checkout or to MD Logic Health, those sites apply their own cookie practices.

Analytics

This site does not run a third-party analytics or advertising script. Our hosting platform records standard server request logs (for example, requested page, timestamp, approximate location and browser type) to operate and secure the site. Shopify collects its own usage data through the purchase panel and checkout, under Shopify's privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Contact and press inquiry messages are stored in our database while your inquiry is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted on request. Newsletter records are kept in our database and in Mailchimp until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, after which we remove the address from the audience. Order and subscription records are held by Shopify and MD Logic Health for as long as they need them for accounting, fulfillment and consumer-protection purposes. To have your information deleted, email contact@avalonx.us and we will remove it from the systems we control.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@avalonx.us and we will respond.
